Publications

Dr Monica Wihardja, is a researcher at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies and teaches at the University of Indonesia. She is also an associate editor, Indonesia desk, for the East Asia Forum, an on-line forum based at the Australian National University. Her research interests are institutions, decentralization and development, as well as regional and global architecture. She has been a consultant for Bank Indonesia (2012) and the World Bank (2013), and is actively engaged with the Indonesian government on the G20 and APEC issues. She has represented Indonesia at the Think 20 meetings in Mexico City and Moscow. She has published at the Journal of East Asian Studies, Journal of Economic Development, Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies, Economics and Finance in Indonesia, and regularly writes in newspapers and on-line forum. She received her B.A. from Brown University, Master of Philosophy from Cambridge University, and Ph.D. from Cornell University.
