Australia-Papua New Guinea Emerging Leaders Dialogue 2014

The Lowy Institute for International Policy would like to invite applications and nominations for the 2014 Australia-Papua New Guinea Emerging Leaders Dialogue.

The Dialogue will bring together 20 emerging young leaders from a variety of sectors in both countries to share ideas and discuss priority national issues for both Papua New Guinea and Australia.

We are inviting applications and nominations for people aged under forty years who are recognised by their organisations as showing drive and initiative and have the potential to make a significant contribution to their communities. Young professionals from any sector are encouraged to apply. For Australian applicants no previous personal or professional experience in PNG is required.

This will be the second Emerging Leaders Dialogue and will build on the success of the inaugural event held in November of 2013

This year’s event will include 1.5 days of discussion on 2-3 December at the Lowy Institute in Sydney on themes the participants identify as common concerns for Papua New Guinea and Australia as well as professional meetings with relevant corporate, government and civil society organisations.

To apply or nominate a candidate for the 2014 Australia-Papua New Guinea Emerging Leaders Dialogue please send a CV and a paragraph detailing the suitability of the applicant to auspngnetwork@lowyinstitute.org
