Iryna Skubii is the inaugural Mykola Zerov Fellow in Ukrainian Studies at the University of Melbourne. She holds doctoral degrees in history from institutions in both Ukraine and Canada, and has taught and held research positions in Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Poland, and Canada. She is the author of a book on the economic history of Kharkiv in the 1920s, as well as numerous publications on the history of Soviet famines in Ukraine, social and environmental history.
