Michael Bliss was appointed as Honorary Professor of Law at ANU Law School in 2025.
For the preceding 25 years, he was an officer of and diplomat in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, working in increasingly senior positions across a broad range of international law and multilateral positions both in Canberra and abroad, including twice to Australia’s mission to United Nations New York.
Michael completed his LLB at UNSW in 1994, and his LLM at Columbia Law School as a Fulbright Scholar in 1998.
