Mina Roces is a Professor of History in the School of Humanities and Languages at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Her latest book The Filipino Migration Experience: Global Agents of Change was just published on October 15, 2021, with Cornell University press. She is the author of: Women’s Movements and the Filipina, 1986-2008 (2012), Kinship Politics in Post-War Philippines: The Lopez Family,1946-2000 (2001), and Women, Power and Kinship Politics: Female Power in Post-War Philippines (1998). A fifth book Gender in Southeast Asia is in press with Cambridge University Press’s Elements Series on Politics and Society in Southeast Asia.
