Zane Goebel
Dr Zane Goebel is currently an Associate Professor of Indonesian Studies at the University of Queensland. He holds a BA in Southeast Asian Studies, a first-class BA Honours in Indonesian studies, a Diploma focusing on Indonesian language teaching, and a PhD focusing on language use in Indonesia. Zane has been involved in Indonesian language education and research for over three decades, including extensive time living and researching in Indonesia. His experience includes teaching at four Australian universities, a Japanese university, and an Indonesian university. He is the author of three research monographs and he has edited half-a-dozen edited collections on language in social life in general, and language in social life in Indonesia in particular.
