Dr Ye Yu is a former Nonresident Fellow at the Lowy Institute for International Policy. She is a political economist and Associate Professor at the Institute for World Economy Studies at the Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS), one of China’s leading think tanks. Dr Ye has completed research on the role of China in global economic governance, with a focus on the G20 and the BRICS New Development Bank. She has also worked on the China-US economic relationship and its effects on the global economic order. Dr Ye has a PhD in international trade and investment law from Fudan University.
