Salina Alvaro is responsible for communications at the Lowy Institute. Before joining the Institute, she held sales and marketing roles at the University of Sydney, University of Sydney Union and Google.

Salina has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours, Class I) in Government, International Relations and American Studies from the University of Sydney, and studied U.S. foreign policy and political campaigns at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of California, Washington Centre (UCDC). Alongside her studies, Salina completed placements at the European Australian Business Council in Sydney and the Congressional office of a United States Senator in Washington DC.
