Overview

Many people conflate religious links between Lebanon's Shi'a community and their co-religionists in Iran purely in terms of Hizbullah-related activities.  Amongst the traditional religious families of Lebanon however, there exists deep historical and familial links between Lebanon and Iran, but even deeper ones with Iraq.  Examining them gives an insight into relationship patterns that few outside the community know of or understand.
