Diya Nag

Diya Nag is The Asia Foundation’s director for Strategy and Development in Cambodia. An international development professional and trained lawyer, she brings deep expertise in promoting inclusive and sustainable growth across Asia. In Cambodia, she provides high-level strategic guidance on programming in inclusive economic growth and governance, including managing a major digital workforce development initiative. She also leads strategic communications, resource mobilisation, and impact and learning for the office.

Regionally, Diya supports colleagues across the Foundation to manage a collective impact platform that brings together public and private sector partners to deliver future skills to underserved groups. Previously, she led a large knowledge sector program in Cambodia and spent several years with the Foundation in India, expanding programming on underserved communities, urban governance, regional cooperation, and the future of work. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked with UNDP India on justice reform and with the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative on police and prison reforms in South Asia.

Diya holds a Juris Doctor in Global Law and Practice from Syracuse University College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in Human Rights and Sociology from Barnard College, Columbia University. She is a member in good standing of the New York Bar (First Appellate Division).
