Kurniawan Arif Maspul

Kurniawan Arif Maspul is a researcher and interdisciplinary writer focusing on Islamic diplomacy and Southeast Asian political thought. He began his career in 2013 as an independent field reporter with the Syrian Medical Mission, documenting frontline humanitarian work during the civil war. He holds an M.Ed in Advanced Teaching, an MBA, and an MA in Islamic Studies, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Islamic Banking and Finance at Al-Madinah International University in Malaysia. His work explores where Islamic ethics meet foreign policy and cultural narratives, with articles appearing in the Australian Strategic Policy Institute and Southeast Asian academic forums. Based in Jakarta, Riyadh, and Kuala Lumpur, he contributes to civil society efforts that promote interfaith dialogue, education access and Global South perspectives in global affairs.
