Martin Bresson

Martin is a Senior Advisor to FleishmanHillard’s Practice in Brussels. He specialises in delivering senior counsel to the all sectors on policy and regulatory issues impacting their organisations, including financial services, competition policy, consumer protection, corporate governance, company law, energy, ICT and trade.

Martin joined FleishmanHillard in 2012 from a decade with the Danish public administration including serving on a number of cross ministerial coordination units and four years as Director for the International Secretariat of the Danish Ministry for Business and Growth where he was responsible for Danish-EU relations as well as world trade/free trade negotiations and maritime affairs. Latterly Martin acted as Minister Counsellor for the Danish Permanent Representation to the EU where he was responsible for overseeing Denmark’s chairing of the EU’s Presidency on financial services, market and industry policy issues. 

Before joining the civil service Martin worked as a political consultant in Danish trade organisations representing both Industry and primary producers.   

Martin holds a Masters of Laws from the University of Copenhagen as well as a Master of Executive Business Strategy. He also holds postgraduate diplomas in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution and in Global Business Development. Martin was for six years external assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen at the faculty of European Law.
