Hollywood tackles the drone war

For generations, Hollywood has combined a tight embrace of technology in movie-making (Industrial Light & Magic, Pixar) with a pronounced strain of technophobia in its story-telling, as the above clip from 1973's Westworld demonstrates. 

Other mainstream films in this genre include Jurassic Park, 2001: A Space Odyssey, the Terminator series, and of course Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop (1987), which has now been remade with, as the first part of the trailer makes clear, Obama's drone war very much in mind:
