BBC World News Correspondent Mishal Husain traveled to Tunisia, Libya, Syria, Bahrain, Egypt documenting how young political activists were using social media for her series, How Facebook Changed the World: The Arab Spring. Here's part 1 of the program (all four parts available on YouTube):

Next Tuesday evening, Anthony Bubalo, Director of the Lowy Institute's West Asia Program, will join Mishal Husain at the Lowy Institute to reflect on her experiences reporting from the Arab Uprisings.

In keeping with the spirit of the discussion, we will be using our social media channels to solicit questions for Mishal and Anthony. If you have questions, please tweet us or post them on our Facebook wall. We will also be tweeting live from the event. For those wanting to come to the event (Tuesday 13 March at 5.30pm) we have a very limited number of spare tickets available — please email kweston@lowyinstitute.org.
