If by 'political' we mean broadly to do with public life and national or international affairs, I'd put the following ten in my list, not necessarily in this order: The Fog of War; Downfall; Thirteen Days; All the President's Men; The Mission; The Lives of Others; The Emperor and the Assassin; Cry Freedom; The Little Drummer Girl; Missing.

Damn; wish I'd thought of Downfall. Chilling.
