We’re giving university students the chance to win tickets to the 2023 Lowy Lecture and Dinner.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will deliver the lecture on 19 December at Sydney Town Hall.
Tickets will be awarded to the two university students who submit the best caption for one of three images below. Show off a little analytical flare, poke a bit of gentle fun or offer a worldly view. The winning captions will also be published in The Interpreter.
Submissions will be judged by a panel of senior Lowy Institute staff and the winners announced on Friday 8 December.
Please send your captions to interpreter@lowyinstitute.org before 4 December (hard deadline! no extensions!). The prize, which does not include travel, is only open to university students – but anyone else feeling inspired is welcome to suggest a caption and then buy their own ticket to what is always a terrific night!
