Digital revolution in the Pacific


Increased ownership and use of mobile phones across the Pacific is driving social and political change at an unprecedented rate. The technology is being used to increase accountability and transparency by shedding light on negligence, poor service delivery and corruption.

A new Lowy Institute report by Research Associate Danielle Cave also notes that a new digital generation is emerging, led by bloggers, digital entrepreneurs and social media groups.
