Gianluca Spezza (PhD) is a research fellow at the DPRK Strategic Research Center and assistant professor of international relations at KIMEP University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He analyzes data and documents on the relationship between North Korea and International organizations, aid to North Korea, and North Korean society. With his work he appeared on BBC, The Guardian, NK News, IRIN News, Newsweek Korea, and El Confidential, among others.
