Natalie Klein

Dr. Natalie Klein is Associate Dean (Academic) and a Professor at UNSW Sydney’s Faculty of Law & Justice, Australia. Professor Klein was previously Dean of Macquarie Law School (2011-17), as well as Acting Head of the Department for Policing, Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism at Macquarie University (2013-14). Professor Klein teaches and researches in different areas of international law, with a focus on law of the sea and international dispute settlement. Her forthcoming book is Submarines in International Law. Australia has nominated Professor Klein as a conciliator under Annex V and arbitrator under Annex VII of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Her masters and doctorate in law were earned at Yale Law School and she is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law as well as the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia.
