Olivia Shen is the 2017 Thawley Scholar at the Lowy Institute and a visiting fellow at the Center for Strategic Studies. She is an adviser in the International Division of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet where she has worked on Australia’s relationships with countries across south and southeast Asia, in particular Indonesia, Singapore, Timor-Leste and Vietnam. In 2015, Olivia was a Congressional Research Fellow with the Australian National University and interned with US Senator John McCain. She studied international relations at the University of Sydney and is currently completing a Master of Public Policy at the ANU.
