Rajesh Basrur

Rajesh Basrur is Senior Fellow in the South Asia Programme at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has authored six books, including Subcontinental Drift: Domestic Politics and India’s Foreign Policy (Georgetown University Press, forthcoming); and Minimum Deterrence and India’s Nuclear Security (Stanford University Press, 2006). He has also edited twelve books and journal special issues, including (with Anit Mukherjee and T. V. Paul), India-China Maritime Competition: The Security Dilemma at Sea (Routledge, 2019). His policy-relevant publications have appeared in The Diplomat (March 2021), The National Interest (February 2021), and Washington Quarterly (Fall 2019). His research interests are nuclear politics, Indian foreign policy and International relations theory.
