Shahram Akbarzadeh

Professor Shahram Akbarzadeh is based at Deakin University in Melbourne. He researches Middle East and Central Asian politics, and holds a prestigious ARC Future Fellowship. His recent publications explore Iranian foreign policy-making and include 'Iran and Daesh: The Case of a Reluctant Shia Power' (2015) and 'Why Does Iran Need Hizbullah?' (2016). His book with Dara Conduit, Iran in the World: President Rouhani's Foreign Policy, was released by Palgrave in 2016.
