Barry Carin is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) in Canada. He has served in a number of senior official positions in the Canadian government and played an instrumental role in developing the initial arguments for the G20 and elevating the G20 to the leader-level. Barry brings institutional knowledge and experience to his research on the G20, international development, energy, and climate change. Barry has a BA in economics and political science from McGill University, and a PhD in economics from Brown University.
