Elizabeth Thurbon is Professor of International Political Economy, Director of Research, and Deputy Head of School in the School of Social Sciences at UNSW Sydney. She is also Director of The Green Energy Statecraft Project, a collaborative initiative between UNSW Sydney, The University of Melbourne, The University of Sydney, The Australian National University, The University of Technology, Sydney, and international partners. She is currently serving a two-year term on the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Equitable Transition (2025-2026), and is an elected member of the Executive Council of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-economics.
