Hanh Nguyen is a PhD student at the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre, Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, the Australian National University, and a research fellow at Yokosuka Council on Asia-Pacific Studies. She was previously a non-resident WSD Handa fellow at the Pacific Forum. Her research interests include economic-security nexus, Southeast Asia’s relations with great powers, and Vietnam’s foreign policy. She is the author of “Vietnam and the shift towards maritime security cooperation” (in Maritime Cooperation and Security in the Indo-Pacific Region: Essays in Honour of Sam Bateman, 2023) and the co-author of “Asymmetric interdependence and the selective diversification of supply chains” (Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia, 2022, with Stephen R. Nagy).
