Mubashar Hasan is a Sydney-based author, teacher and researcher currently affiliated with University of Western Sydney, Australia, and the Diplomacy Training Program (DTP). His book Islam and Politics in Bangladesh: The followers of Ummah was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2020. His latest co-edited book includes Masks of Authoritarianism Hegemony, Power and Public Life in Bangladesh (Palgrave Macmillan 2022). Along with The Interpreter, his articles have been published by Foreign PolicyGeorgetown Journal of International Affairs, United States Institute of Peace, The Conversation and ABC Religion and Ethics, Aljazeera, E-IR, Open Democracy, East Asia Forum, Dev Policy, among others.
