Muhammad Ersan Pamungkas is professional linguist at the Cabinet Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia and a freelancer translator at UOB Indonesia, as well as several translation agencies. He is also a freelance opinion article writer for several major news outlets. Mr. Pamungkas’ works focus on the areas of culture, language, tourism, social media, urban living, and ASEAN.

His works have appeared in Channel News Asia, The Jakarta Post, among other publications. Mr. Pamungkas received a Master degree from University of New South Wales and a Doctoral Degree from University of Indonesia, and was a participant of Presidential Speechwriting Course held by Georgetown University in the United States. He speaks Bahasa Indonesia, English, Sundanese, and basic Mandarin.
