Regina Jefferies is a Scientia PhD Scholar and an affiliate of the UNSW Andrew & Renata Kaldor Centre for International Refugee Law. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Forced Migration Research Network, and a member of the International Journal of Refugee Law, Case Law Editorial Team. She is currently assisting Profs Jane McAdam and Alison Bashford in an Australian Research Council (ARC) Special Research Initiative project entitled ‘Rethinking medico-legal borders: from international to internal histories’. Her PhD thesis examines the role of street-level bureaucrats in transnational legal compliance with international refugee law.
