 Valerie Rozman is the Director of Research and Analytics and a Principal to the Southeast Asia team at The Asia Group, a business advisory firm with offices across the Indo-Pacific and headquartered in Washington, D.C. Previously she worked on a wide array of strategic East Asia issues during her 16 years with the US federal government, primarily in the intelligence community, where she most recently served as the Deputy National Intelligence Manager for East Asia at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. She received her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, along with a certificate in East Asian studies, and her master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. She has lived and worked in Japan, Singapore, and Australia.
