Lowy Institute appoints new Nonresident Fellows

The Lowy Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of five distinguished experts to its roster of Nonresident Fellows.

The five new Nonresident Fellows are:

Sean Dorney (Melanesia)

  • Reported on the Pacific Islands region (with a particular focus on Papua New Guinea) for over 40 years with the ABC.

Dr Bonnie Glaser (East Asia)

  • Senior adviser for Asia in the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in the US.​

Lydia Khalil (West Asia)

  • Visiting fellow at Macquarie University’s Centre on Policing, Intelligence and Counterterrorism and former counterterrorism analyst for the New York Police Department.

Dr Matthew Sussex (International Security)

  • Director of the Politics and International Relations program at the University of Tasmania.

Dr Ye Yu (The G20 Studies Centre)

  • Associate Professor at the Institute for World Economy Studies at the Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS)
