Andrea Carson is a Professor of Political Communication at La Trobe University who examines the news media’s role in politics. She researches gender representations in media and politics, campaigns and elections, mis and disinformation and media regulation and business models. She is a research fellow with the Women’s Leadership Institute Australia (WLIA) and was a 2024 Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism Visiting Academic Associate at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford.
