Anuttama Banerji
Anuttama Banerji is a political analyst based in New Delhi, India. She is also an Associate Fellow with the New Delhi based think tank Centre for Aerospace Power and Strategic Studies (CAPSS).
She has previously worked as a Research Associate with the New Delhi based naval/maritime think tank National Maritime Foundation (NMF) and as an Assistant Information Officer in the Political Affairs division of the Singapore High Commission in New Delhi. She has held visiting fellowships with the Stimson Center, USA (2023) and NIICE, Nepal (2024). Her research areas of interest include water and maritime security as well as South Asian geopolitics.
Her existing work has been published by The Diplomat, South China Morning Post, South Asian Voices, Maldives Security Outlook, Institut Montaigne, 09DashLine among other leading international platforms. Her journal publications have appeared in Security Nexus, a peer reviewed journal published by Daniel K Inouye Center for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS) among other journals as well as leading Indian security journals such as Strategic Analysis and the journal of the United Services Institute of India. She has graduated with a Master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics & Political Science in 2018. She is a polyglot and is fluent in English, French and Urdu in addition to her native Bengali and Hindi.
