Hiya Harinandini is a Policy Researcher at the Australia India Institute, where she leads projects focused on bilateral education and skills policy and practice. Her research interests span migration policy, skills underutilisation, and the implications these have for migrant and refugee settlement outcomes. Previously, Hiya was a Research Fellow with the Future of Work Lab, where she conducted research on skills mismatch and developed practical resources to improve employment outcomes and workplace experiences for caregivers and migrants in Australia.
