Daniel Madhani is the Country Director for Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA), an INGO that has operated in Afghanistan for over 40 years. For more than a decade, he has engaged in humanitarian and development practise in conflict-affected regions, including Iraq, Northeast Syria, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), and Afghanistan.
Daniel’s professional interest is in humanitarian diplomacy, with a particular interest in proactive engagement approaches that can preempt deadlocks in the provision of effective humanitarian assistance. His work involves negotiation and advocacy in complex settings that includes formal and informal representatives of government and civil society.
