Eric Ang is a PhD candidate at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, a Research Fellow with the Yokosuka Council on Asia-Pacific Studies (YCAPS), and a Chartered Marine Technologist (CMarTech) - IMarEST.
His work focuses on maritime governance and security in Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific. His research interests include maritime security cooperation, counter-IUU fishing, maritime irregular warfare, information-sharing networks, maritime domain awareness, critical underwater infrastructure, and the governance of emerging maritime challenges. His doctoral research examines how institutional incentives, governance networks, and implementation processes shape maritime enforcement outcomes across Southeast Asia.
