Jess Gifkins
Dr Jess Gifkins is an Associate Professor in International Relations at the University of Technology Sydney.
Her research is on decision-making within the United Nations and the prevention of mass atrocity crimes. She published a book with Oxford University Press in 2023 titled Inside the UN Security Council: Legitimation Practices and Darfur. A report she published on ‘Queering Atrocity Prevention’ with Protection Approaches and Dr Dean Cooper-Cunningham has been discussed in the UN Security Council.
