Jozef Huljak’s research examines Taiwan’s cultural and public diplomacy, while his broader focus is on the role of soft power in the foreign policy of states.
He is a PhD student in political science at the Department of Philosophy and Political Science, Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia. He is the principal investigator of a university-funded research project (UGA I/11/2026) on Taiwan’s cultural diplomacy and contributes as an external author to the Central European Institute of Asian Studies (CEIAS (Opens in new window)). He is the author of “Conceptual and Theoretical Foundations of Cultural Diplomacy” (PolSci Dialogues, 2026 (Opens in new window)) and has written on Taiwan’s cultural diplomacy and civil defence policy for CEIAS.
