Kasek Galgal

Kasek is a researcher and academic at the University of Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby, focusing on computational physics. He has also been heavily involved with the NGO the Internet Society, where he is a Board Member for the Pacific Islands Chapter. He is passionate about the transformative potential of technology in Papua New Guinea and the region. He is also currently undertaking postgraduate studies in contemporary diplomacy, focusing on the uses of electronic tools in diplomacy. As he comes from a technical background, he plans to use the Fellowship opportunity to develop his understanding of international affairs and policy development. His research will focus on how to foster digital literacy, particularly in the PNG context.
