John Caldeira writes:

Your article on the current Fiji political situation is quite biased and poorly researched. Compared to the racist and corrupt governments of the past, the current government in Fiji has been a godsend. Not perfect. Everyone would like to choose their political leadership by election.  However, corruption is sharply reduced and the rule of law usually produces fair results now, unlike the past.

However, their political persecution of opposing political parties and the current government's failure to disclose budgets and executive pay is quite embarrassing for them, as they claim to promote transparency and freedom of expression.

Indigenous rights? How's that working in your own country? In the long run, integration of ALL people into the overall economy is the best solution for Fiji.
