Dr Lachlan Strahan worked for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 1993 until 2023, serving in missions in Bonn, Seoul, Delhi, Geneva and Honiara. He is the author of Australia’s China, Day of Reckoning, Justice in Kelly Country, which was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Australian history prize, and The Curious Diplomat: A memoir from the frontlines of diplomacy.
