Lachlan Strahan
Dr Lachlan Strahan worked for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 1993 until 2023, serving in missions in Bonn, Seoul, Delhi, Geneva, and Honiara.
He is the author of Australia’s China, Day of Reckoning, and Justice in Kelly Country, which was shortlisted for the 2023 Prime Minister’s Australian History Prize. His most recent book, The Curious Diplomat: A Memoir from the Frontlines of Diplomacy, has been longlisted for the Australian Political Book of the Year Award 2026.
