Cory Alpert is a PhD researcher at the University of Melbourne, where he studies the impact of AI on democracy. Previously, he served in the Biden White House for three years and as the senior adviser to Mayor Steve Benjamin.
He was on the team that launched the war crimes investigations in Ukraine in May 2022 and presented to the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
His writing has been published in The Age/Sydney Morning Herald, The Straits Times, The Guardian, Haaretz, Kyiv Independent, and others across the globe.
