Natasha Kassam is Director of the Lowy Institute’s Public Opinion and Foreign Policy Program and is working on a series of reports for the Multiculturalism, Identity and Influence project. Jane Perlez is a long-time foreign correspondent for The New York Times and an expert on China's role in the world and US-China competition.
